For our first issue, we're taking you inside the casting of Miami Beach's Find Your Wonder. Not just who made it into the film, but what we were searching for, the characters we imagined, and the little details that mattered along the way.
Miami Beach's new campaign celebrates the city's year-round arts and culture. At its heart: a whimsical Lost & Found booth, where a quirky attendant helps visitors rediscover wonder, inspiration and human connection.
Developed with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, supported by VML, and produced by Estudio Fe, the campaign brings this playful world to digital, social, video, outdoor and print.
The brief called for someone distinctive — a strong actor with presence, natural reactions and a sense of humor that never felt forced. We explored different intentions in the audition, looking for the subtle choices that could make this unusual character feel completely real.
Every visitor needed a personality of their own. Our brief was specific, but the goal was simple: believable people in a wonderfully unexpected world.
Not a polished, model-like face. We looked for someone rugged and authentic — a person you could believe had spent years searching for treasures.
Fresh, contemporary and natural. The smallest line needed to land like a real question, not a performance.
We were looking for a cool, creative, designer-type personality — contemporary style with an unmistakable point of view.
Polished and sophisticated, but still human. Even a short exchange needed to feel effortless.
Another moment of connection, where personality and believable chemistry matter just as much as the individual performances.
For this father-and-daughter moment, we looked for warmth, natural connection and a young performer who could bring personality and movement to the scene.
For the beach-chair scene, we were looking for the rhythm of a familiar disagreement — genuine chemistry, natural reactions and humor that didn't feel pushed.
The auditions weren't only about faces and dialogue. For the dancing roles, rhythm and confidence mattered too.
Our casting brief gave us the starting point. The auditions helped us look beyond it — for personality, believable reactions and those small choices that make characters memorable.
